Ask Relay.
Relay is the Crossplay expert that sits inside the Hub. It answers from the generated API reference, the piece catalog and the documentation — and nothing else — so what it tells you matches the code you'd actually write. It picks the pieces, explains the SPIs, writes the wiring, and cites every source it read.
Included with every Crossplay subscription. Not part of the free trial or à la carte piece purchases.
how-it-answers
From question to cited answer.
- 01
Reads the catalog
Relay identifies which of the pieces your question touches and pulls their guides — services, SPIs, options, wire messages.
- 02
Drills into the API
Before it names a type or a method, it looks the signature up in the generated API reference. Nothing is quoted from memory.
- 03
Answers with sources
Every answer carries citation chips for the pieces and types it read. If the docs don’t ground an answer, Relay says so — it never guesses.
honest-by-construction
Honest by construction
Relay is deliberately narrow. It knows Crossplay — the pieces, their APIs and SPIs, the wire protocol, the Unity client, the server, the Hub — and refuses everything else. An off-topic question gets a boundary, not an improvisation; an on-topic question the docs can't ground gets an honest “I couldn't find it” instead of a plausible-looking API that doesn't compile.
- “What pieces do I need for an inventory with trading?”
- “How do I implement ICharacterFactory?”
- “I want a character selection screen with classes, then join the world with that class.”
- “How does client prediction talk to the Movement piece?”
Relay comes with the subscription that unlocks all pieces — one plan, everything included. Your conversations are saved to your account and follow you across machines.
