Terms of Service
Last updated July 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of crossplay.dev, the Crossplay Hub desktop application, and the Crossplay software pieces (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
License
When you purchase a piece or a plan, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that software to build and operate your own games, subject to these Terms and any seat limits associated with your purchase. Pieces you buy à la carte are yours to keep for use under this license; plans grant access while active.
Devices and seats
Your license may include a limited number of device seats — the number of computers on which you may run the Hub or a licensed server at once. To enforce this, when you sign in on a device we link that device to your account using a salted hash of a device identifier (never a raw hardware serial — see our Privacy Policy). You can view and unlink your devices, and buy additional seats, from your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- circumvent, disable, or tamper with licensing, seat limits, or device binding;
- redistribute, resell, or sublicense the pieces except as permitted by your license;
- use the Service to infringe others' rights or to build unlawful products;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts.
Enforcement and device bans
We may suspend or terminate an account for violations of these Terms. For serious or repeated abuse — including attempts to defeat licensing — we may also block the associated hashed device identifier to prevent the same abuse from continuing under a new account. Because we store only a hash, no hardware details are retained.
Payments
Prices are shown at checkout. À-la-carte purchases are one-time; plans renew per their stated interval until cancelled. Taxes may apply. Refunds are handled per applicable law and any refund terms shown at purchase.
Your content and games
The games you build with Crossplay are yours. Crossplay provides infrastructure; your game logic, art, and content remain your property.
Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
